About this tool

A Plinko ball bounces left or right at each peg with equal odds, so after N rows it follows a binomial distribution: the center bins are reached by far more possible paths than the edges, which is exactly why edge multipliers are rare and center ones are common. This tool computes that distribution exactly for any row count from 8 to 16.

The multiplier curve shown is illustrative, built to hit the RTP you target — Stake’s exact published payout table may differ slightly, so always check the in-game paytable before betting. What won’t differ is the shape: more rows means a sharper, more extreme curve, purely because there are more possible paths to spread across.

Frequently asked questions

Why do edge slots pay so much more than center ones?

Because far fewer paths lead there. A ball needs every single bounce to go the same direction to reach an edge bin, while center bins are reached by the vast majority of possible bounce sequences — that’s basic binomial math, not a rigged wheel.

Are the multipliers shown exactly what Stake pays?

They’re illustrative, scaled to hit the RTP you choose — not copied from Stake’s exact table, which we can’t verify from outside the game. The shape of the curve and the landing probabilities are the real, exact math.

Does row count change the house edge?

No — RTP stays whatever you (or Stake) set it to. More rows just spreads that same edge across a wider, more extreme multiplier curve.
