Average figures: your stop-loss divided by what the house edge takes per round. Real sessions swing either side of this — it is the centre of the distribution, not a floor.
Rules of thumb for entertainment budgeting — variance is real and no bet size guarantees anything.

About this tool
Most losing sessions aren’t caused by bad luck — they’re caused by bets too large for the bankroll behind them. Professionals rarely risk more than 1–2% of their roll on a single bet. This calculator applies the same discipline to casino play.
Enter what you can genuinely afford to lose tonight, pick a risk profile, and get a bet size that gives your session room to breathe. Pair it with our bankroll management guide for the full method.
Frequently asked questions
What risk percentage should I choose?
1% per bet is the conservative professional guideline, 2% is moderate, 5% is aggressive and only suits short, high-variance sessions you can fully afford to lose.
What is a stop-loss and why does it matter?
A pre-committed amount at which the session ends, decided while calm. It is the only mechanism that reliably prevents tilt spending — the calculator suggests one from your profile.
What do "betting units" mean?
How many bets of the recommended size fit inside your stop-loss. More units = longer expected sessions and lower risk of an early bust. Under 40 units is a red flag.
Does bankroll management guarantee I won’t lose?
No — nothing does, and the house edge remains. It guarantees your losses stay within a chosen budget and your sessions last long enough to be entertainment. That is its entire, honest job.
